In March 2025, DID Executive Committee voted to sign on to a letter in opposition to Andrew Cuomo's campaign for mayor of New York City. The letter outlines multiple reasons for the opposition and is signed by Democratic elected officials, District Leaders and State Committee Members, Democratic clubs and County Committee members.
