BYOP Free Textbanking—Register Democrats in all swing states!

Help Field Team 6 text millions of unregistered likely Democrats in the key swing states before 2024’s elections! We love free texting! We call it BYOP or Bring Your Own Phone, although it actually uses your own computer with an anonymized Google Voice number or Apple’s iMessage app. And it's a great way to register new Democrats! There are a few things you'll need to set up on your computer but they aren't difficult, and we provide all the training you need at our BYOP Boot Camp sessions. Text Training for 2024

The Democracy  Text Team is a powerful force of volunteers who are committed to informing and engaging voters in the political process. The key strength of the team is to focus on informing voters and to Get Out The Vote. We use a variety of platforms to conduct our work together. Join us at this session to learn how to text. We will conduct a training session to refresh our texters on key rules for texting in 2024! Here are a few things to note and remember: You do NOT use your own phone number for political texting! Your identity is concealed. The texts you send are prewritten. You will need a computer or a laptop. If you use a tablet, that's ok -- but please DO NOT use your phone for training. IMPORTANT: You need basic proficiency in computer skills to be able to master the training.
