Please RSVP below and join us for our April membership meeting - Note that the meeting time has been moved to 7:30 pm.
We will be joined by Dan Kaminsky of Citizens Union for training on the coming City Council Redistricting. As we have seen in the recent national and state redistricting, it can have a significant affect on our representation. The first draft of the maps are due to be released on June 7th. This training is important for us to understand how we can have a voice in the process.
Members will also be discussing and voting on whether or not to rescind our endorsement of Brian Benjamin for NY Lt. Governor. If membership votes to rescind the endorsement, we will join Grand Street Democrats on May 9th to hear from the remaining candidates for Lt. Governor and then consider whether to endorse a new candidate.
